The return of the Pier Road Coffee & Art annual calendar event – January Blues.
Now into its 8th Year, and with a growing number of entrants every year and an increase in categories alongside some fabulous prizes and amazing guest judges.
This year will see an extension to the time the work is exhibited in the gallery.
Submission Date: 6th January 2025 from 1000 – 12th January 1430.
Exhibition Start Date: Monday 13th January 2025 from 1000.
Exhibition End Date: Thursday 30th January 1600.
Work to be collected unless sold or with prior arrangement on :
Entry Fee:
Adult: £12.50
Student: £8.00
Children: £3.50
This fee is the hanging fee.
All work submitted will be exhibited unless it is regarded by the judges as offensive.
All work that is submitted for sale will be sold at an agreed price and the gallery will take 25% commission. The remainder will be paid via BACs to your account. We only ask for details once an item sells.
Work can be submitted Not For Sale; Any artworks sold the commission will be 25% so build this into your asking price.
If works are sold; normally we ask customers to collect at the end of the exhibition or until after the judges have viewed. In some cases this is not always possible.
Venues who sponsor categories will be given the winning piece to exhibit (if sold then the next one available) These will be for sale in the venues also.
Public Vote will be held across the gallery visitors and on facebook (in some cases for smaller categories Instagram). These will all be totalled and winner with the majority of votes wins. There is only the accolade of winning the public vote no prize.

Space will be allocated on a first come first served basis. Should we have a large amount of entries and we cannot find room for them all then your money will be refunded.
However, you can secure your place by paying the fee in advance of dropping off your work. This will ensure you are included in the final exhibition.
There is a limit of 5 pieces per artist for each category. You can enter as many categories as you wish; if you would like to enter the same artwork in two categories for example – you have a piece that is Littlehampton and Blue then an extra £5 to pay for the second category.
